The creation of the Ferrari Mascherone requires a profound understanding of the historic techniques used in the rigid structural construction of automobiles, as well as the art of panel beating—a skill once mastered by artisan-mechanics known as batti lamiera.
Crafting the Curve
This project represents a contemporary, high-tech interpretation of that legacy. Using the 3D files provided by Ferrari, we carefully reconstructed the body of a 2007 Formula 1 Ferrari through a process that seamlessly merges engineering and tradition.
During the design phase, solid steel formers were laser-cut to create a precise template. Onto each horizontal and transverse element, skilled hands expertly hammered solid steel wire—6 to 8 mm thick—to define the structural sections.
These were then welded together, gradually forming the Mascherone through the careful assembly of longitudinal and transverse components.
The completed structure was then painted in Ferrari’s unmistakable red, bringing contemporary precision to a heritage of craftsmanship.

Three Icons
Three distinct Mascheroni were created for Ferrari Stores: the 2007 Formula 1 model, the 250 GTO, and the F430. With the legacy they embody and the meticulous execution they demand, these pieces possess the expressive power of true works of art—blending tradition with the language of luxury retail.
One of these exceptional creations remains preserved at the Rossato headquarters, displayed in the outdoor area adjacent to the meeting room—a silent yet commanding presence. Under the ever-changing light, it welcomes both the sun’s warm reflections and the delicate caress of rain, as droplets slip between the intricate lines, revealing new perspectives with every passing moment.
A Space for Vision
This, however, will not be its final home. We are currently restoring a historic space within the company, where the Mascherone will be permanently displayed—a lasting tribute to the philosophy that has always guided us:
“The people we work for, and those who work alongside us, have always been our greatest inspiration.”
An homage not only to craftsmanship, but to the same vision that informs our approach to bespoke, custom, and high-end furniture design—where every detail is intentional, and every piece tells a story.
A vision that also extends to our luxury showroom design projects, where form and function come together to elevate every environment.
